I AM CHILD

Has it happened to you, or does it often happen to you that your parents or someone else beats you (at home, at school, outdoors)?

Has it happened to you or does it often happen to you that your parents or someone else makes you do things that are not pleasant to you or after which you feel pain?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, please, tell your friends, teachers, school psychologist, or anyone to whom you trust. It may be one of the forms of abuse. Please, tell them immediately, even in the case when the people who hurt you say that you must not talk about it with anyone.

Nobody is allowed to behave like this and repeated beating is not normal.

To be a responsible parent means to react to others and to their children so that they do not bear traumas from childhood for the rest of their life. If beating children and frequent quarrels between the parents occur in your family you can be sure that these conflict situations will have a negative impact on your children for the rest of their life, and their life here on the Earth will consist of looking for something they cannot find, because the only time when they can learn it is in their childhood.

More gifts or more love?

Therefore, be responsible parents and create an environment for your children, where they feel safe. Together create positive relationship with your children; relationship, in which your children can be assured that they can come to you at any time and tell you about any problem they have. Remember that you cannot replace the above mentioned things with material things (more gifts, more computers, more holidays by the sea), which is the biggest mistake of the current generation of parents. Material thing can serve only as a supplement to a healthy family relationship. All children crave for loving parents, to whom they can look up as to their role models and according to which they will build their relations in the community.

Hand can caress, but also beat

Each argument between parents is enormous psychological burden for children. Individual parts of the human brain develop especially in childhood; and if at this stage of life a child is exposed to psychological pressure, stress, or in the worst case to physical abuse, some parts of the brain may not develop sufficiently, so as to ensure healthy functioning of the individual in society. The result is a lifelong anxiety and depression, which are mental illnesses treatable only through long-administered medications, usually with a vague outcome and as they are likely to return after discontinuation of medication.

We all expect from our children to become adults sooner or later, but how can they become adults, if they have not experienced their childhood yet?

To get an idea of how your child can be a lifelong tainted with negative environment, abuse and traumatic experiences, I am writing my story.

Am I violent parent?

Do you use physical punishments in the upbringing of your children very often?

Do you use excessive psychological pressure in the upbringing of your children very often?

If you answered YES to any of the above mentioned questions, please, look for a help of a psychologist, or tell anyone to whom you trust.

For a moment try to think about what is your violent behaviour caused by. One of the reasons why parents commit violence on their children may be the fact that they were also victims of this activity in their childhood. Perhaps it is your case too. It is not normal to take your pain from childhood out on children. You have a decision in your hands; you can change the wheel of fate and say stop violence against children and not to behave so irresponsibly as your parents. If you can do it that will be the bravest and also the most beautiful thing in your life, which you will be proud of. In contrast, if you do not stop and you will continue with violent activities, the lives of your children will be irreparably damaged and the whole family tragedy will repeat.

Your violence may, of course, have another cause, such as dissatisfaction with your own life, and also that you only carry further the wrongs that may happen to you at work or in your personal life. However, all these problems can be somehow reasonably solved. To take your anger out on your own children who cannot defent themselves certainly is not a good solution to your problems!

I know about violence against children

If you have seen or heard of any violence against children (meaning physical or psychological abuse), PLEASE, do not keep it just for yourself. You can save the fate of one or more unfortunate children. You can literally save the life of this little being.

If a child is exposed to repeated physical or psychological abuse, it has quite a significant negative impact on his development and the result is an imperfect, undeveloped human being who does not know what to do with his life.

Child abuse is not a rarity, unfortunately

In my life I have experienced the following types of violence that could also be a guide for you.

Physical abuse: repeated beatings with hands or objects such as carpet whipper, belt, wooden spoon.

Psychological abuse: swearing and insulting the child, repeated bans on anything that gave me pleasure, destroying things that gave me joy and forcing to do activities that are not quite normal.

If you witness violence against children, please, in any case do not hide your head in the sand to pretend not to see it, because you are also responsible for the fate of those damaged little beings.

To give you complete idea on various forms of violence I am writing my story.
